The Main Building
The Modern style three-storey building was completed in 1960. The construction fee of $300,000 was funded entirely by public donation. With the addition of the Main Building, by 1960, KWSH was able to accommodate over 300 patients in its 28 medical, obstetric and tuberculosis wards. Today, the Main Building is a key landmark in the Jalan Besar vicinity due to its prominent frontage.
